The move itself is finally over. We made the trek from Salt Lake to Plainfield. The trip took about 2.5 days with a 26' truck towing a car and driving the other car. Making the trip was my little tank of ~20 gal. I took out most of the rock, leaving a couple of pieces in the bottom to cover the sand as well as some zoos that were on the sand as well. The rest of the rock and corals were put in buckets and moved that way. Thankfully, there wasnt much loss from the move. Both of my clams didnt make it though
along with a pocillapora and valida frag. The 2 fish and the other corals did just fine with only a few minor accidental frags. Guess I will have some of the Utah frags available for some of the Chicago area reefers. All things considered I am pleased with results of the move.
As it turns out I didnt need any water. I was able to bring enough with me and got my RO/DI system up and running.
