Brian, Welcome and glad you made it with minimum losses! 
There are many LFS in the "neighborhood" and we'll be glad to give you recommendations. Here's a map with many of the LFS, so you can scope it out:

On Saturday, I believe that some of the local reefers are having a get-together and there's a 2nd anniversary sale at Deep Reef in Downers Grove.
