Mag treatment question

Is there a maximum treatment time for a mag anemone using cipro? I have been treating per recommendations listed in the sticky above but am unsure/nervous about adding back into the display. My mag has decent inflation and a closed mouth and has been under light but does not have the same look as many of the "healthy" specimens listed in the thread. It has been in treatment for a good 2 weeks and am wondering if adding to the display would benefit or damage at this point?

New Mag will not have the healthy Mag look. You will have to nurse him back to health once infection is treated.
Is he deflating? If not without treatmetn then his infection is treated. Now just a lot of TLC to get him back to healthy.
Picture will help us help you.

From the pics it looks pretty good,is the mouth shut and is it deflating and inflating.I treated mine for 10 days, with 50% water changes everyday.

Mouth is closed. Hard to see in pic but it was closed as of a couple days ago. It deflates a bit at night which I know for some anemones is normal. Not sure on mags. I currently am lighting it with a 100 watt shop light so the color is very yellow but it seems to like the illumination for it has moved to the top of the water line. Think ok to move to the display?

So I just went down to start to move the mag and this is what is looks like Somewhat deflated. Ok to move or wait?

often the hospital tank is not optimal condition for recovery for the anemone. Get him out as soon as you can so you can give the TLC he needed.

WOW... that is a pretty MAG!!

I agree that he should be moved back to a normal DT with regular food.

OFF the ICU status.

So the mag has been in the display a couple days now. Moved from one end of the tank to the other and has settled on top of the rock work below the halide. It is till deflating nightly similarly to the picture above. By morning it has inflated again. Normal? I'm also curious what others have experienced with the stickiness coming back to the tentacles. It has no adhesion when offered food. Does it take some time for this to come back...if so how long does this take on average?

Can you take a few pictures. Where was the QT water from? Fresh or from DT?

I will try and some pictures today. QT water was taken from display for I felt it would smooth the transition from QT to display. Still not sticky and will not take food.

Thoughts before seeing pictures?

Don't worry too much about it not taken food. Just concentrate on provide good environment for him. He will recover. Use tiny food at first, and place the food near the mouth, turn the circulation off and keep other animal from taken the food before he have a change to ingest it.

That mag need treatment. I would take him out back to the HT and retreat him.
Did you treated him with a full dose, full duration of Cipro treatment? 250 mg every day with the 5 g water change?

Yes for 2 weeks. The earlier pictures I posted was at the end of that period. Should I not be using display water for water changes? Ammonia, nitrite and nitrate were tested at zero from display. Is there an issue by doing it this way?
