Magnesium acetate - yes or no?

So, basically the best way to go would be starting easy, each time replacing more magnesium chloride with magnesium acetate along the way ?

Yeah - the saying is that nothing good happens quickly in a reef tank. After messing with these things for 20 years, I'm inclined to believe that adage!
