is there any strategy to get these apart? im scared im gonna get my finger caught,

Neodymium is an awesome magnet, where I used to work, we had 2 tons of metal being held vertically by the neodymium magnets, then it was machined, at first it was very scary trusting that much weight on a magnet! It has been about 20 plus years that the neodymium was discovered in China (I think that is still the only place) by GM and Sumitomo Electric, it has changed how we use magnets. Sorry if this trivia was boring, but I thought it is cool.

rvitko did it hurt you? seems like it would squish my finger when i saw how fast and hard it came together
It has happened to me twice, once with the nano magnets, that hurt but only a small blood blister and it happened at the warehouse and Dave pulled them off. The worst was I got a 0220.55 cleaning magnet stuck on the web betweenn my thumb and finger many years ago when I had my shop. I was there alone before we opened cleaning up and I had to wait for someone to arrive to pull them off. That left a bad bruise.
For what its worth Mr. Tunze got his hand caught in a prototype 0220.58 and that is why it was never made. We saw immediately it was just too dangerous. It could stick through 3" glass.
That is cool trivia Dan. I had wondered why they are all made in China and had been told that it was due to environmental regulations. It must be a special form of Neodymium? I know that neodymium has been used for quite a while to turn art glass purple or window glass clear ( purple cancels out the green from iron).

i've got my 6200.50's stuck on my hands/fingers a few times. one slipped out of my hand, and found its way onto my thumb, where the other was .... that left a bloody thumbnail ... SOB!
the one on the webbing between thumb & index ... OUTCH! can't get them off by yourself .... no matter HOW HARD you try ... the 6200.50's ... no way.

haha mercer went down, anyway im coming off pinkie injury and ver y weak, gave it to my brothers big friend who works out 7 days a week and he still couldnt do it
