Fabulous! My Ocellaris clowns spawn under my mag regularly too - probably about every two weeks. And I have an unblemished record of raising the fry ........ yep, you guessed it, not even one :( OK, I don't actually try, but you'd think one would make it at some point ...... noooop!

Thanks guys.

I've never tried to save the babies ever and I've never had one survive either. I think back to when I kept cichlids and at least one or two babies would survive, but not with clownfish.

Actually there are 4 mags in this tank. I've had the yellow tip ones for 13 years in Nov. Years ago it divided. The purple based ones I've had about 9 years, I sold one of the clones years ago and I kept the latest clone, because it only measure 4 or 5 inches across.

Lol. Yeah CoralsAddiction, maybe my maroons would even things out a little in there.

Minh, I've thought about selling the smaller clones several times, but I read all the horror stories about people and their mags. I'm afraid I'd sell one or two only to find out the anemone died, then I'd feel awful. Of course crap happens, and they could die on my watch too. To keep them from getting too big I only feed sparingly, once every other week or so now. I've fed more heavily in the past, and as you know, they respond by growing. The largest one measures about 14 inches across and the smallest of the clones measures about 5 inches. In the wild H. magnifica often live side-by-side, so maybe they think they're out on the reef ; )
