I just got back from my LFS and rushed right on here to ask about a BEAUTFUL ritteri anemone they have for only $120... It has a blue foot and white and lime green tentacles.. they have had it for over a month. I'm about to leave on vacation for a week and i plan to pick it up when i get back but before i do i want to learn more about it. I have a 125g mixed LPS and SPS tank and i have an area put aside for anemones.. I have a VERY small RBTA there right now but if i do get this anemone i was going to bring it to my work and sale it,.. Does anyone have any advice, suggestions or experience with these creatures please put ur impute.

I would pass on that anemone. It sounds like it is bleaching. Their tentacles should not be white. The collumn should be more of a purple color. When they bleach, the collumn fades to a blueish color.

Agreed, do some research on them and find a long term captive from a local reefer to have the best chances of keeping one alive.

Thank you.. I decided to just request him to order me a new one... Plus i called him back up and he said it was inflating and deflating often which i read was a bad sign. And with the price tag on that anemone i wouldn't want it to die on me
