so for chinese new years someone gave me a live maine lobster and i wont be able to eat it for maybe another day or so, its been int he fridge for 3-4 days and is still alive. think i should stick him in my sump so he can have a fresh breather? lol

if you really want to keep it alive I would make a separate container of salt water with the SG @ 1.026 and put an air stone in it....that should do it. I wouldn't expose the lobster to your actual tank water.

Just put him in a bucket with some salt water and some bubbles, they are very hardy bastardz!! Should make it....

hes still alive in your fridge ? man thats pretty cool sure throw him in over feed him for a month and gain a few lbs on him good to go lol or set a 10 gal up for him and keep it outside its nice and cold for him..

if you goto a place that has live lobsters in a tank, you will find they are in special chilled tanks that are kept at temps around 50 degrees.he might live in the sump, but i doubt it.but you never know.

I was just going to mention this!
Maybe you could set up a 10g in your fridge with an airstone!!

Man, those things are really hardy. I used to work at Red Lobster. When we did'nt have room in the display tank we kept them in the fridge. They come packed in a box, dry, out of the water, divided by little cardboard spacers. Kinda crazy!!

i dont really care about the tank being affected too much, i just have some fish in there and i dont htink he would crap enough to polute the tank that much, since its an established tank. he is indeed healthy and he tries to walk around
