Majano...Manjano anemones ID please

Hello all,

I found some new growth on one of the live rocks. These animals look like they are majano or manjano(which one is right?)! It would be great if someone can positively ID the animal.

They look very slender and are green in colour with thread like tentacles(tendrils). There's about a dozen of these guys in the tank and it looks like they started growing about a day or two back! If identified as a pest I'd like to get on with clearing them out!

I've attached two pics of the same! Sorry about the poor quality but you can get an idea!

Best regards,
Prashanth T

It's majano.

Can't tell much from the photos, though from your brief descriptions, sounds more like hydroids to me.

Just observed the guys on another rock! Yes I think these are majano! I'm going to let them grow just for a day or two more! And then take action!

Are the 'slender tubes' hard to the touch? As I said earlier, hard to tell anything from the photos, but they sound more like hydroids than majano. Eradication approach is completely different.

I'm guessing hydroids as well, feather dusters don't fluorescence like shown in the OPs photos, hydroids do though

yank them out with hemostats
