male false perc hiding in dark

i have a pair of false perc, and a mid size anemone. yesterday i added tons of cheato to my tank and created some shady area/shady caves. this morning i noticed my female clown still hanging around the anemone, but the male clown went in a shady cave and only come out when i put my hand in the water.
just wondering, is this normal? will my clowns divorce?
p.s. just had new MH light day before yesterday, but the male perc showed no reaction to it yesterday

its simple. your clown is a vampire and will die under intense light.

honestly though he is prolly just adjusting to the new lighting. some individuals are more sensitive than others.
