Male of the mating pair dies

It is a very bad news to me today. The male if my mating pair graduators dies today. Nit sure why... maybe my tank is little cold ? I raised them for 2 years...

Do if U want to buy a matching one? I should buy a small one? Would they fight though? How do i find a male one ( not juvenile)? What is the chance they can mate or spawn again?

The female laid eggs five time in the past two months but none of the eggs can survive...

IMO you don’t want to buy one that is too small if your only buying one, get one that is a little smaller then your current one but not too small. That’s how I always paired them up.
