mandarin and watchman goby

Can a mandarin and a sandsifting goby live successfully in the same tank? They both eat frozen foods. The watchman has been in the refugium since Feb. Will they do well together?

You should be OK. Most fish tend to ignore Mandarins.

Yes, they'll be fine. You may get a little bluster out of the watchman at first, maybe a nipped fin, but the mandarin's persistence will finally win, and eventually he'll just shoulder past the ywg and the ywg will grump about it, but do nothing.

Nothing in my tank, including a yellow watchman goby, pays any attention to my spotted mandarin. The mandarin just goes about his daily business like he is the only fish in the tank.

When I had my Mandarin, my YWG would run into his burrow and hide whenever the mandarin came over. IDK why, they never bothered each other, just the YWG being a little skiddish I guess...

My YWG is generally really skittish toward everyone and everything in the tank. He's like the old man that doesn't let kids in his yard
