If you have access to it, try and use some rigid airline tubing and target feed him some pods or frozen Rotifers with the flow turned off, and see how he reacts. If he begins begins to buck a little, he may be underfed and his system is rejecting some of the pods/Rotifers, but, keep at it, he'll get a little food in his system this way, at least to survive another day. If he calmly moves away, then he's probably going to be ok. One of the keys is to coax him out into the open and away from that spot so you can get a better look at him.
