It's comfirmed I watched last night and my Mandarin will eat Blood worms!!!!!!!

Just to let you know that blood worms can cause liver problems overtime.

I thought Id try them because I acidently picked them up instead of brine shrimp, can I still feed this once in awhile

Im not sure on how long it will take and how much to really affect the fish but I would try to get brine shrimp as soon as you can. Some people feed blood worms for along time and say they have no problems. I saw people more then once say blood shrimp are bad so I stated to look it up and it showed they may cause liver problems.

I guess it cant hurt them if you feed every now and again. I dont think you really need to worry you have a big enough system, if he is hungry he will get some pods

its kinda like drinking alcohol. if you drink all the time everyday, you will get liver problems. drinking once in awhile wont do you any harm. i havent feed my SW blood worms ever. but my FW tanks i would feed them about 1-2 times a week. when i had an elephant nose fish thats all he would eat. well blood worms, and live black worms is all he would eat. i had him for about a year. then i learned the hard lesson about glass heaters.
