Mandarin Spike

So just getting a general consensus here, my mandarin use to have a long "spike" looking dorsal (top) fin. Is this normal for them to loose it? Did it change sex's? Here's a few quick pic's.

What are the fish's tankmates? I suspect is has been nipped off.

That's not the shape of a female's fin. It's definitely nipped by something or someone.

Hmmm...strange. Ill keep a better eye open today if i can see any nipping. Lyetail anthia, Hector goby, Very Small Blonde Naso.
