My mandarin has a white patch on top just be for the dorsal fin.
It has white patches on each gill.

How long have you had him? Was anything new introduced into the tank without being quarantined? How is his breathing and eating? It's hard to tell from the picture but it looks like lympho.

The fish I got about 3 months ago . I started seeing it about two weeks after
I got him. Did not do anything because It eats good , he is fat. dose not
show any stress. I been watch him but think its time to try something.
No ether fish have it. The tank is about 7 years old.

Does he just have it on his back or is it also on one of his sides?

Is it possible he got stung by some coral? Sorry but I'm having a hard time with the pics. Is it a smooth hard lump or cottony? It doesn't seem to be parasitic in nature so, again, I'm leaning towards lympho. It could also be a cyst in which case there is nothing you can do. Does he eat mysis, frozen food or caviar?
