I'm gonna try to upload a video of my Illumina doing a preview run tonight.
My tank is not as impressive as it was when I still had my SPS and was more on top of my maintenance, but it is making a strong come back.

SPS aren't what make a tank impressive or not. Anyone can grow them.

I know.
Its just that before the economy went to crap I was alot more into working on my tanks, and they are suffering from severe neglect. I am a recovering alcoholic/addict as well. I have been clean and sober for over 18 months.
I had to sell of my SPS to pay bills.
I do not have near enough flow in my DT and will soon be upgrading.
In six to twelve months it should be back to its former glorious state.

It doesn't look like your roots don't even touch the sand bed.
Am I right about that?

The roots don't touch the sandbed although I am sure they will eventually... they don't have to be rooted to grow tho

I had to sell off my old SPS tank after me and my first wife got divorced. But I came back and am happy with how everything turned out. You'll get it back I'm sure. And great job on the 18 months !!!

Yeah, I am pretty determined to make it as good or better than before.
Mostly softies and LPS right now but in 2-3 months I'll be ready for SPS again.
