Mangrove propagules opening date?

I picked some propagules while on vacation in Florida, I believe in July or August and they have been in my sump for 4-5 months now and have roots about 2 inches long. When should I expect them to open? Is there anything I should do to keep them happy? They're under a Kessil a360we Tuna Sun

Plant the roots in substrate, or let them anchor on some rock work.
