The Haptosquilla is very close to one that is fairly common in Indonesia. However, the color morph is different from any that we have seen for this species. There is another species currently being described from Tonga and Fiji. It may be that species, but morphologically it is a bit different. Eventually, it will probably take molecular analysis to determine this. Fortunately, we can sometimes do this without sacrificing the animal. When I get some photographs, I will post them.
