Mantis not eating...

N. curacaoensis is fairly color polymorphic. I agree that the dactyl heals are a bit faint for this species. It may be N. wennerae in deep coloration mode. If she eventually turns green due to broad spectrum lighting, that will pretty much nail it.

I don't know where you got the "15inches" from. No gonodactylid gets that large. The largest Neogonodactylus bredini and N. wennerae get to around 8 cm and the largest N. curacaoensis to about 6.5 cm.

It has appeared that she doesnt have the egg's anymore so she might have ate them. But she has gone pretty much back to normal and is going everywhere on the rock and has left her hole and made a new burrow under the rock. is she a smasher or spearer?

Smasher!! If you look on the very last picture you posted, on her raptorial claw there is a bulge with lighter coloration. That's the part that's used for smashing. MANTIS SMASH!!!!!!

You and me and everyone else. It's actually still a mystery what larval mantis shrimp exactly eat. To my knowledge no one has raised any to adulthood.

I've posted some info on larvae. I have reared two and there are several other reports in the literature of larvae being reared. It is not impossible, just a great deal of work.
