mantis shrimp and a penplax tank divider?

hi, would a tank divider keep a 3" mantis from getting at my fish? thanks

We use them all the time. The major issues are water flow, algal build-up, and the stomatopod breaking through. Egg crate will work for animals over about 4 inches. For a three inch animal, you will probably need some thing with holes no more than 3/8".
