The LFS has this thing.........I know it could take your finger off and makes me want to throw it in the middle of my street.

They only cause problems when they're taken out of the wild. In the world's oceans, they're part of the balance of nature. I don't wish them upon anyone as a live rock hitchhiker, but in a species tank, they're awesome pets. Most are dramatically colored, extremely intellegent as well as extremely interactive.

Scientifically they're pretty far out there as well including having the most advanced color vision of all animals, likely having the fastest muscle motion of any animal in air or water, and the only animal that uses an active wheel-motion for moving on land! :)

I like em... and if you don't you can still sell them to someone like me and make a $. :)

Rogue: That's a gorgeous mantis!

While not all of us are in our right minds, I have to assume that blanket assumption covers anyone into reef aquaria, not just those of us with mantis tanks. Tim is one of the most interesting pets I've ever taken care of and I'm actively trying to beef him up a bit. He's amazing to watch, ever as tiny as he is currently.

Yeah, I know people are often looking for mantis(not in their tanks, as pets) on this board, so now you have a way to get them. BTW, what size tank would that baby need?

Hey Algae Blenny,

O. Scyllarus' can get larger than 6" so we have ours in a 15 gallon tank. A titanium heater or protected heater is a good idea as is an acrylic tank that can handle the powerful strikes.

Cool Blenny pic btw...
