I have a 72 gallon bow front.I have had my tank up and running for about 2 months.I have 20 crabs and about 40pds of LR.I went to feed my crabs yesterday morning I notice something moving under one of my rocks and I looked and it was a mantiss shrimp.I assume he must have just hatched or something cause I have never seen him before and he was tiny like less than half an inch.I was getting ready to add 2 clown fish to my tank till I seen him.I plan on doing a peaceful reef tank and a mantiss shrimp dosent fit into what I want.I think right now he is too small and fast to try and catch now cause he will just hide in one of my rocks. So will I have to wait till he gets to big to hide and get him outor is there a way to get him now.I have heard of a FW dip but wont that kill whats on my LR

my clownfish pair are more aggressive than my mantis but good luck getting him out. if you want him out that bad try some of the trap ideas or break all the rock structure apart. you will be waiting for a long time for him to grow.

If this is a stomatopod, it is probably about 6 months old. It will be at least another year before it poses any threat to fish.
