March 19th - Reef Trip to see Monster Reef Setups

Snakemanvet is the only one I know of with a high end chalice for sale. He will not be coming, but I can deliver it if you guys work up a deal.

I posted a pic on mtrc,I was asking 200 for it,but apparently it ain't worth that much.one person thinks it only worth about 60.If so I will just keep it.The pic isn't that great.

If anyone has room for Vicki to ride, then let me know. She says she can help out on gas costs. I'll check the forum later today for updates.

Marcus, I have been to Newport many times. I learned to water ski on the White River. I will never forget the tales of the White River Monster.

Sorry guys. I forgot my camera this trip. I knew I forgot something. Kevin and Logan snapped some pics with their phones.

There were also many free frags given out.

A big thanks to Tim, Doc, and Carl for showing us around. Had a great time. Also, thanks Doc for all the frags!! Got them put in my tank and they are looking good! Got a feeling we'll be seeing you all again-learned alot of interesting things that I'm going to apply.

Please see to it that those frags are FREELY distributed amongst the club members that are wanting/needing them, as there is plenty to go around!

It was great to meet you guys. :)

Sounds like yall had fun, just wished I could have made it.what kind of frags and how many, that way we will try to give to as many members as possiable a frag. Thanks Tim for inviteing JARC club members to see your awesome set-up.

Numerous branches of Hydnaphora, Hairy Mushrooms, several branches of Digitata, Caps, Anthelia, and a few others that I can't recall offhand...

We took them to see 4 other very large systems, aside from mine. :)

What were the specs on those systems we saw. I think one was a 980G right? I wish I had brought my camera. These were some very nice systems with some beautiful coral specimens.

We saw the complete setup at Docs, which is at his office. I believe the 980G was at the dentist. Not sure of the size of Carl's system, but it was very nice as well. Then there was the system at Engines, inc (which is the only one that wasn't in-wall). When we went into Engines (a John Deere motor plant) it did not look like what I expected. The office area is decorated with a variety of autographed memorabilia. It looked more like the offices of a recording studio.

One common denominator on all these systems is the absence of power head and extensive use of closed loop. I know several members in the West TN club use this as well. They also utilize carbon, calcium reactors, and automation for CO2, lighting, and cooling
