yeah. Not sure of species but it sure is nice! That one came from a Doctor friend of Todd (T's torch Todd).

I don't know if he'd remember where he got it or what it was....

A couple of months ago my magnet broke off a HUGE branch that got too close to the glass. Unfortunately, the market for SPS that aren't a "designer name" is small nowadays. Maybe I should just call it a Tyree austera :)
 
Gary, what's the substrate on the bottom of your tank in the 3rd & 4th pics? Live rock rubble & crushed coral????

that rubble is dead coral skeletons

The sand is CaribSea Reefloor
 
I thought it was the one I passed on to you? No? I can't think of what coral that is then? Perhaps another road trip....
 
I should be up at the fair grounds in a few weeks with a couple alpacas; can you wait a wee bit to crash your magnet through a couple of those nameless corals? I hope to see this tank someday it's been a favorite since back when it had all the anemones.
