Hi y'all,
I am very happy to announce that NARC March meeting will be held at Decatur Petco on Saturday March 15th at 1:00 pm.
I understand that there will be some nice door prizes
As you may know very well by now, Decatur Petco has a nice salt water section. Although they carried mainly salt water fish in the past, they are adding live rocks and some corals in their offering. They have a very good variety of dry goods for salt water aquarium as well. It's a store worth checking out. Petco periodically has a nice sale as well. I bought my cute little Pico tank there last year on sale.
Petco does not have a separate room for us to congregate, but I don't think that's a problem unless beaslbob comes up with another big crazy DIY demo of his
.
Speaking of a demo, does anyone have a suggestion for things to talk about or do as a group? We can discuss something about a common problem or particular issue that some of us is experiencing. Newbie questions are welcome here. Please speak up if any of you beginners want to find out what other people are doing to manage/maintain their tanks and livestock. The rest of us who have been keeping reef tank for more than a year can still learn from this type of discussion. It's fun to find out what others are doing with their tanks and their techniques.
Do any of you want to bring some refreshment? Petco does not mind if we did. They can provide a small table for that. Let me know if anyone want to bring some soft drinks and munchies so I can let Petco know ahead of times.
