March NARC Meeting

Thank you very much, Mariner and Harry. My father-in-law was 95 years old. So we are more like celebrating his great passing and the wonderful life he had. I will be quite busy with Reilly's four big sisters and their families for the next several days.

Tomoko, Sorry to hear that. Wow, Yeah at 95 years old I'd say he had a good run. Hope you can find the time to come visit us. Of course if you can't we understand.

Mariner, Some drings would be great.

If someone wants to bring a Bag or two of chips. And maybe someone else bring some cups. That would be great. I'll have BBQ, Buns and a Corn dish. We already have Plastic wear and napkins. MaryRuth is bringing Slaw and maybe something else. Mariner is bringing some Drinks. tbagnall is bringing paper plates.

8Ball - I finally got a 180 with stand/canopy and matching bookcases on order :) I will need to pick your brain to get this one plumbed right. Hope you don't mind. I am thinking about the silent matched flow drains. Wish I could have solar tubes like yours, but alas not at the current house unfortunately.

If I cannot come over to the meeting, will you show me your new set up another time in the near future?

Tomoko, you have our condolences as well. We will also be thinking of you and your family.

BTW, Even though the quality of water from the RO unit seems much better, after things settle down for your family, and we get the replacement faucet installed sometime this week, Fred and I would still like for you to test our water quality sometime. An unbiased opinion will be reassuring.
 
Tomoko, congratulations on the new tank. I'm sure you can't wait to get it in-house, set-up and running. If you need any help with moving it or other things around, Fred and I would be glad to help. I can't imagine trying to fill a 180 gallon reef tank with marine life, but it sounds like a dream come true.
 
Tomoko, Sure your welcome to come have a look another time. As far as your drains go just be sure to have the tank drilled for atleast 3 drains. Since its a 180 I'm sure it will have that many anyway. Where did you order or tank and cabinets from?

Jason, IV's are such a pain--in more than 1 way! Do you have a home health nurse checking the line daily? We hope your recovery is going well!

I am having to do the IV's 2x aday myself. I have a nurse out every three days. I have a PIC line in. It goes in through my arm and into the atery in my chest wall. Not alot of fun. Can only use one arm and if you knew where the surgery was it would make you hurt worse. Thanks for all the support and if any one is every in Cullman area stop by and let me show off my tanks. They are'nt the most high tech but we love them.

I am doing pretty good so far. I have decided to sell some of my frags we made and some extra fish. Maybe that will help some. Being on unemployment was bad enough but now that this has happened I can't draw it untill I am fit to work agin. So maybe this will help us some. The baby clowns we got from you are doing great and having fun. Thank you for your thoughts and tell Rieley were thinking ya'lls family as well.

Jason, I hope your pain subsides quickly! Are you on IV Gentamycin? Working in a walk-in/urgent care clinic not much "hurts" me, but I'm sure that's not true of most people reading this thread. Anyway, I'll not invade your privacy. Get well soon and keep your pain controlled with your meds. When pain gets out of control, it's very hard to regain control of it. I made that mistake once after a urological procedure, but I'll never do it again! It took a trip to the ER for a pain shot mixture of demorol, torodol, and phenegran to regain control of the pain, so the Lortab at home would work again. Hang-in there!
 
Thanks for your thoughts. I got bit by a browm recluse 1.5 yrs ago and lost alot of meat and skin on my hand. Because the Dr.'s screwed around I got MRSA and have been fighting it ever since. I have had 10 outbreaks since then. This one just happens to be in a private area. They done a surgery in the ER Sat. but did not do enough so I had another one on Tues. needless to say life has sucked lately but it will get better. I am keeping the pain down as much as possible. I am on Tagacil 2x a day. It is suppose the strongest aginst the MRSA right now. I was on Vancomycyn for two mnths. and the oral pills for two and still had another outbreak. Its getting old fast.

Thanx to Shannon and Will for hosting today. The tank is awesome! I know you are proud of it. The BBQ was delicious too. Glad to see some people we haven't seen in a while as well as meet some new ones.
