I did that on my first driver and did the same on the upgrade. It helps a lot in getting a fix on where you are, particularly if your driver is in a dimly lit area:
I used a permanent black marker and drew 3 small lines marked L,H & F which stand for Low, half and Full flow. I also used a white BIC correction pen (Wite Out) to highlight the little notch and make it easier to see what the setting is.
