Mark's 180 Starfire upgrade

Right now, there are:

4 angelfish
4 wrasse
3 anthia
1 butterfly
1 tang
7 cardinal

Besides that, I'm not really antsy to add anymore at this time :fish2:

Nice. I like Angelfish, but I'm too scared to put one in with my corals. I'm more into wrasses right now. Coral safe and very colorful. Wrasses FTW! :p

Wrasses also have a higher rate of dying in the first year of captivity ;) But considering your tank sizes, you should not even think of keeping an angel.

Darn, Mark. I was a little late learning about the tank break down, but talk about a shock! For me, yours was always THE tank - but obviously, ya gotta do what ya gotta do. Seems to have been the right move for you - looks like you've got the juices flowing again. Love the new FOWLR+C(s). The new angels are gorgeous. That's gonna be a great tank - the best of luck getting where you want to go with it.

Really? Interesting.... There are a few Dwarf Angelfish that would be fine in a 28 gallon nano, but, I don't even want to give them a try as they might/will nip at my corals and a nano = little bit of corals + nipping Angelfish = lots of damage on corals. The only Angelfish I'd put in my reef would be the 100% reef safe ones, such as the Swallowtail Angelfish, Lamarck Angelfish, Bellus Angelfish and such. But, those get way too big for my nano, so, I'll have to get one when I upgrade. :)

Thanks Tom. My tank had its good days but I had way too many corals in a tank and its demands were and would continue to be too much. I have some new hope regarding this tank and the fact that I do not need to chase down every cool coral because someone on the internet says its cool. I have a feeling that in 6-9 months, the corals will be grown in and it will have a look all of its own

Great stuff Mark, good luck with the sale.

Thanks Dan :)

Very nice, dude. In Dan's famous last words, where are the "hairy colored sticks"?

Thanks Kenny, They must be in Dan's or Brian's tank :p I think it will be awhile before I think of doing any acros as things are settling in nicely. The blue LED's really masks the tank

You know I'm always a PM a way though ;)

*yawning*

Nothing to see here, please keep moving along :p

No updates except I removed the golden as it though it was a clown goby in one of my acro colonies.

Hello, is this thing on? Can someone flip the switch on please? :p Hope you guys had a great Christmas Mark. :celeb1:

As for the tank and flipping the switch. It's on, but there is a connectivity issue with the server...:wavehand:

Did you say nano? Are you going to have three pygmy's in a nano? I hope that you have a larger tank?

Upgrade? I'm not upgrading; just taking a break from posting pictures since I redid the tank. Thanks

:)

I must say, looking at this thread makes me realize how hard this hobby really is. I took at 10 year break from it and I recently got back into the hobby and I must say in the past fews months I have been through a lot already. It makes me sick to think about the money I've thrown at the tank. There are days I just look at the tank and ask myself "Is it really worth it", then I come on RC and see tanks like yours and everybody else's and that is what keeps me going. I know this hobby has it's up's and down's, but keep at it and you will succeed. I'm hoping if I just keep believing my tank will finally come around to me. I can only hope that one day my tank is half as good as yours.
