Mark's 180 Starfire upgrade

Wow, what a long and awesome thread to read. Beautiful photos and of course a gorgeous tank. I am only at post #651. Will definitely continue reading this thread as I think I have like a few more thousand of posts to read. :) Time to hit the sack.

I must say, looking at this thread makes me realize how hard this hobby really is. I took at 10 year break from it and I recently got back into the hobby and I must say in the past fews months I have been through a lot already. It makes me sick to think about the money I've thrown at the tank. There are days I just look at the tank and ask myself "Is it really worth it", then I come on RC and see tanks like yours and everybody else's and that is what keeps me going. I know this hobby has it's up's and down's, but keep at it and you will succeed. I'm hoping if I just keep believing my tank will finally come around to me. I can only hope that one day my tank is half as good as yours.

Thank you for the posts. Sometimes I forget to realize that the banter that we share in these threads are actually anything beyond that. :p

Wait wait, hold on are you telling me this thread is about a fish tank? Man I had no idea.

Wait until next week. It will be a daily report on LFC & the January transfer window in the EPL and.

Today's rumors are Gervinho and Honda :eek2:

Happy holidays Mark. First time reading your thread and about your journey. Reefing is definitely one of those things that require an obsession and consumes your life. You achieved some uncommon success. Congrats on that.

I recently set up my tank remotely from where I live, and I stop by and check it out twice a week or so. I know equipments fail, and I've added redundancy wherever I could to keep everything running for my twice-a-week visits, but so far it is working relatively well. Doesn't look anything like your tank, but I am trying to develop a method so that I will be able to keep a tank at my home in the future without my life chained to it. It's been running for 6 months now, and I'm enjoying the low-load.

Now that is something to read about. In a perfect world maybe next week you will also be descussing our new manager as the last one will be sacked.

In a perfect world yes, but not in FSG's world. I truly believe we will add a couple of pieces at the window, make a Europa cup spot, more player turnover after the season and wait til summer for a manager change. It's very hard to bring in the right guy now. Villa Boas signed and extension yesterday with Porto, but I still think they have their eye on Deschamps.

Happy New Year :)

The tank has a long way back and I doubt it will ever be close to what it was, but at least I'm enjoying it at this point.

ahhhh.... What pleasure it give me to see coral in your tank again. It looks fabulous and more importantly, Im stoaked you are enjoying it a little more. I know that feeling...Trust me. And its a good one to really sit infront of the tank again and be happy.

Stong work bud and I will be anxiously waiting more photos.

I have no idea. None of these are Aussie pieces.

And snowmobiling

This one did not post. I guess I had not consumed my proper level of coffee needed for proper posting #rookie
