Mark's 180 Starfire upgrade

Well they say around 30 hours for the battery backup.

I think im gonna go w/ a pair and the backup. I was also thinking of setting up my AC3 to text me for when the power goes out and have my router on an APC so it will have power long enough for the text to get sent...

Very nice Mark, nice contrast in color on the coral and with the brokeh of the other branch in the background. (Don't know if I'm using the term correctly but you know what I mean.)

I didn't sell the tank yet, my most understanding family let me buy the tank I wanted so it needs to be filled:lolspin:

Is that the elos 160xl? You know how to get ahold of me ;) I want to see a Bodianus sanguineus in your tank :D

yup, I got Mike's tank (Nuuze) its only been set-up for a few months but had a few setbacks...I have to have the tank filled in with sticks before the hog comes:)

Nice pics man, looks great!

Weren't you contemplating removing your borbonius a while back... change of heart? I love him :D

FWIW you can piggy-back the bat back-ups too. I run two batt-back-ups on one pump for 60 hours (adverstised) back up time, just in case. Necessary? No, but I guess it makes me feel a little bit better.

I have heard that as well Austin, but thanks for the info. You can never feel safe enough in this hobby. I checked on my shallow system today and it was at 70 because one of the heaters had burned out.

As for the Borb, I am still contemplating its removal, but sometimes it takes me awhile :p

Did the temp drop cause any issues? I've got one of those cheap thermometers that has a high and low temp alert. I've never really tested it but I suppose I should. Big wake up call for me, I've only got one heater running and have been meaning to put another one in there but have been procrastinating. Probably ought to do that...

No Dan, no problems so far as I usually keep that tank at 73 anyways. I do have a ranco dual temperature controller on that system, but I do not pay as much attention to that system as I should. You should definitely add a back up heater just in case ;)
