Thanks Steve, For the first time, I am finally getting the baby blue out of the mystic. Its in a wierd spot and I was playing around with exposure that day, but after a long wait, that coral is not the "mystic brown" any more.

Nice man .. Mine is blue as well and fast grower ... I will snap pics as well .. ( I heard tomorrow we will have a snow storm again ) so its a perfect weather for my tank i will be home all day

This one just got added back to my tank last weekend.

I like the idea of a steel stand just for the increased space inside. I used a similar design to yours (3 2x4s per corner) and it just takes up so much valuable real estate...

I built my steel stand and if I was to do it over again I would definitely spend the extra money and have it rhino lined or something similar. I had mine blasted and painted where I work and by the time I got it home there was a bunch of scratches and it had already started to rust.

Hi Mark,

what's the SPS above with the great PE?

James

This is just one of those wild pieces that I've picked up along the way. I picked this one up in Feb '07 from one of my trips down to the bay. At first I thought it was a green with blue tip tenius, but when I grew it out before the treatment, I started leaning more towards a selago. I have been meaning to get out volume I of veron and doing some more research though.

No Chad, that is Pink Cadillac montipora. It gets more pink like the setosa does in high lighting. The problem is that is it shaded underneath a stag :p

Here it is pre Joculator :)

Beautiful piece! This monti coloration is one of the few corals remaining on my must-have list. I'm patiently waiting for Menard's to grow out so I don't have to pay an arm and leg for it...
