Mark, I didn't know that you built that stand yourself! Oh, and I also didn't know that this build thread has split twice already!!!

looking great Mark, i would love to see an update on your black tang and Joculator as well.

Well Nick, The black tang is really hard to capture as I have a lot of caves and it just blends in. The depth and the caves can not really been seen in the pictures, but here is the joc and it just happened to be next the the vivid for Jeremy :p

This is my experience with Bartlett's. They fight more than any other anthias I have have ever kept. Sooner or later, they change to males and dual for dominance :(

Jeremy, These are the last two out of the six I started out with. :( I know that these might not be the experiences of everyone, but I also know that I have spoken with enough people who have had similar experiences.

Sorry to hear that. Bartlett's weren't really high on my list, but they have now dropped off it.:( I really wish Ventralis' weren't so challenging.

I don't know what kind of anthias I have but it seems all they do is fight. A bit disruptive to the tank but quite entertaining. I like the look of those you have.

Hes about 3 inches now. He's nice and healthy :)

Thanks Greg, anthias add a lot of character to a tank. I also have 6 lyretails, 1 dispar, and borbonius. I think that the lyretail is one of the better species for our purpose.

Are you sure they are fighting? They look like they are just kissing cousins to me :D I have a few males in my tank but I have never seen them fight. Just added 8 more smaller females couple of weeks ago. As soon as I get my hands on a fish trap, I'll try and get as many males out as I can and leave only one. We'll see what happens.

You're crazy Kenny. I sure hope that the dozen people I've talked to about them in larger tanks were wrong as well. One by one, they switch and battle for territory. I guess you could do what you are doing and just replace them every so often :)

Awesome growth!!! Those CGH's must be working well..............coral growth hormones that is hahaha

Thanks Rob, it is amazing what a little human growth hormone and some urine will do for a tank. It took me awhile to get over the initial act, but now its just like dosing vodka ;)
