Mark's new build

My current bulb combo, front to back:
ATI Blue+
KZ Superblue
KZ Fiji Purple
KZ New Generation
KZ New Generation
KZ Superblue
KZ Superblue
ATI Blue+

Mark,

The build looks amazing. Kinda makes me want to rip out about half the rock out of my tank.

Just wondering if you are staying with this combo and what kelvin rating it looks like under full power, minus the LED's.

I have an 8x80 Sifgioli that needs new bulbs and I have only used ATI bulbs in the past. How do they compare to the KZ bulbs.

wow, you have some out of this world attn to detail brother. Im speechless, how clean this looks. Simply amazing. I have never seen those Overflows , how do they work?

the kz bulbs put out a lil bit more par than the ati. I switched to them like 3 years ago and love them if you google there are some charts ppl have made with various t5 bulb output data

Sorry for the lack of updates, nothing new really happened. Tank is finally getting wet, will take about two days for the RO/DI unit to produce enough water. After that just waiting for it to cycle, should have new update after that time. :)

I really like the KZ bulbs, especially the New Generation, the whole combo gives me nice crisp , I would say 15K look.

I just ordered a branch and bonsai piece from cerameco. Looking forward to having a much different scape with my new upgrade. Thanks for the inspiration.

I love the ATI fixture and the screen top. I have a rimless tank too and just thought I couldn't have wrasses/jawfish/jumpers because I refused to put an ugly screen on top of my tank but I really like the way yours is "floating". Have you noticed any bowing in the screen frame since it's not supported in the front and back? I see you're also fighting the sand storm battle with your power heads. :headwallblue: Awesome build!!!

Thanks, there is no bowing at all , I guess the 48" length is not long enough. On longer screens I would recommend a support in the middle. Yeah, sand got blown because I started my Tunzes on full 24V power, flow to the front glass. Way too much. I will change the setting to 18V and reduce a little power, should be better.
I got a new " toy". I have read few reviews, good and bad, and I hope 2013 model has all bugs worked out. Just hooked it up, this thing is dead silent. I still have fresh water in tank, so it is not producing any bubbles. Will dissolve salt overnight and will be ready to cycle it. Any of you guys has any experience with Dr.Tim"s One and Only ? I know few of my local friends that cycled their tanks with it, they swear by it. Ok, few pictures:

That's good. My tank is on 36" so I should be good.

Very productive morning for me,I made floating canopy from white acrylics. This light fixture is super bright, I needed something to contain the light spillage. Now I can finally look straight on my tank, wife is happy, everybody wins!!! I think it looks very sharp.

Working table ( wife was not home )

It hangs on the fixture ( very light weight)
