Mark's upgrade to 120 Oceanic Tech

This might be the most impressive aquarium I've ever seen. Like your growth, color, and aqua-scape is just amazing. A true inspiration. You can give yourself a pat on the back.

Beautiful tank, love the growth your experiencing. What brand salt mix are you using?

I started with Tropic Marine salt, about two months ago switched to Red Sea Pro Coral salt.I like it a lot.It mixes easily, and parameters are spot on.

Hi Mark, if heard a lot of people down here saying that red sea salt is mixing dirty out of the buckets. I've been wanting to try a bucket for myself. Have you found this to be true at all? How did your corals react when u changed?

I have no problem mixing this salt.It dissolves quick and clear. My corals are doing good,I did not notice any change, negative or positive. The main reason for switch was price. It was getting expensive doing WC with TM salt.

Say hello to some of my fish.Sorry for bad pictures, still learning to take good photos of fish, not an easy task.

Incredible tank. I'm subscribed and hope my 120 build turns out like this some day.

I've read the entire thread and maybe I missed it, but from the latest FTS it looks like the tank is now bare bottom but previously it was SSB. Is that accurate? If so why did you make that decision?

Keep up the great work!

There still is sand in my tank, but you have good eye. Most of sand from the front has been removed. When I vacuumed my sand bed some went up trough siphon tube and I never bother to replaced. Actually ,soon I will have to redo this tank and I will go BB this time for ease of cleaning. But I will still have sand in part of my sump.

Awe inspiring tank man, well done!

How are the bio pellets working out? Have you noticed any algae growth since you started?

Bio pellets are working fine.I still have them in my system.I never really had any problem with algae, except some bubble algae, but nothing to worry about.
