maroon lg female clown kills anemone?

I've had two experiences with what I believe is my large maroon female clown killing an anemone. Once when I put a small rbta on the other side of the tank from an lta that the maroons were hosting in, and it was gone the next day, shredded with pieces floating around.
And a second time when my rbta split, the second rbta died suddently, again shredded. The same maroons were hosting in the rbta before it split.
Water parameters were stable and the surviving anemone was fine, all other livestock fine, don't have any other explanation.
Anyone have a similar experience?

sorry! i meant powerhead!

i have a maroon that used to pick, but she wouldn't tear it up that badly...i have a hard time seeing her do that overnight.

i was thinking if your nem wandered, then liked the flow near the powerhead, then got to close and bam :(

i'm not liking her for this crime, especially since they were hosting one when it happened...

i vote for powerheads.
now i hope you have one!

yeah, well, since my theory is shot [ :( ] i'm going to jump on the mean maroon bandwagon.

mine btas split, and my very young, very small maroon decided that she owned them both, and the male could continue sleeping on the very nice rock that she let him have.

i can only imagine what she'll be like when she's older...so i stick my hand in the tank everyday--i touch stuff, i move stuff, i touch her nem, etc. she's starting to get used to the idea that i'm bigger, and i'm not going to hurt her, so she's getting less agressive towards me...and more aggressive towards everyTHING else. a net. tongs. floating bag. frag rack. powerhead. tube. magnet.

good luck!

lol, that's women for you

When she get biggger she will proably grow a pair aand stert to thinkg that your hand could be a possible lunch. Beautiful fish but MEAN little buggers. I have had them in the past and ended up going w/ a more passive fish. (blk saddle back / blue haddoni for hoast)
