Maroons with perc like stripes

Picked this girl up the other day. Front stripe is yellow and wide and looks like a typical GSM. Other two stripes are pure white and skinnier like a white stripe maroon, except both stripes (on both sides) protrude like perc/occ. She's about 4" in lenght and WC. Excuse the photo quality.

Anyone seen others like this?

nope, just a gsm that hasn't gotten all of her gold yet.

No. A GSM should have gotten all it's yellow along time ago. Especially for a wild caught specimen this size.

I agree w/ LargeAngels, by now she should certainly have all her color. Maybe she was just an odd one out of the bunch. -Pretty cool to have a wild caught one like that though

I got two others with this girl. Both smaller and don't have as much protrusions of the last two stripes, but still have some.

When I was in LA a few years back I saw a "jigsaw puzzle" maroon at Tong's in fountain valley in one of their show tanks.

I posted some pictures quite some time ago of 4 that I'd seen in the pet store. I moved them in my photo album so I can't seem to find them. She's only every got them in once.

Pictures aren't there but it was in 2005.

heres some maroon and ocellaris hybrids(striping looks like your, but main difference between a pure maroon and a hybrid is the shorter cheek spine or lack there of)

i got another pic from a japanese breeder with a maroon perc cross and it was lacking the cheek spine completely and looked alot like bones picture, unfortunately i didnt get it saved before my old computer crashed on me.

It does look a little like the top picture bencozzy shows. She definitely has cheek spines, as do the others, and these are WC. All of them have the first stripe wide and yellow and the others are pure white and thinner.

I'm gonna try and see if I can find out collection location.

im not convinced that wild hybrids in clownfish is that un common but finding the off spring if they survive to settle out would prove to be super difficult.

I dont think LargeAngels' maroon is a natural hybrid. Maroons do can have a middle or back stripe a bit ocellarish sometimes.
