MARS spring Crap Swap planning

All great suggestions... I will look into the school/field idea and continue working on the parks. Anyone have an inside track to one of these locations?

Mike:

I was thinking of my middle school at the corner of Bond and Bradshaw. Pretty easy to get to, nice blacktop area, parking lot etc. Only problem is no trees/shade etc. the schools only 3 years old. I'd have to talk to Admin first to see if it's a possibility. Soonest that would be is next Monday. Also need to make sure that there is no soccer/youth league going on because that would make it a zoo out there.....unless we do the MP Room thing, but that'd cost us more.

Hey Mike

An alternative to consider is having everyone do garage sales at their house. We'd have to publish a map. We could do a garage sale caravan too.

We could combine the garage sale with a tank tour. You wanna see my tank you gotta buy my junk :) It could be a two day event like most garage sales are.

I'm not sure this is better than doing it all at one place. Just something to consider.

I do know that people are a bit more reserved on allowing this many people into their homes... I being one of them. And logistics would be very difficult to plan out in arranging times and availability - we all know 1 hour stops can quickly turn into 2. :D

Still working on a location, so if you have an idea or a place to offer - all ears!

Ok, working out the specifics with Parks and Rec - but here is the current thought process. I found a community center adjacent to a park. Still working out the details, so its all just a going theory at this point.

Stay tuned...
