Sounds like Im missing something. Why would it just be a regional, and not a club swap. This would be the second swap that was put on by it's members but not recognized by the club? Can someone please tell me why?

Justin, I am not sure I understand the question. Pam is offering to host a frag swap. Does it really matter if it's done by MARS or BAR or NVR? That is the whole purpose of doing a frag swap. To have people from all over participate. You get a much larger turn out for the effort and you get a better selection.

I for one am glad Pam is willing to host the event. As VP of MARS, I will support it in anyway I can. I would hope that the MARS members would support it as well.

BTW, yes, Pam and I have been in discussion about this. I have suggested a few dates and I am just waiting on her for a reply.

The only difference I saw more or less in regards to turn out was due to loation. There was more of a diversity, I thought at Pam's (I saw BAR, NVR,CVR, MARS(and the new club in Redding, or is that NVR?) and other local enthusiasts; although I do agree that it was probably not a matter of whether it was a MARS swap or not, while at the regional I saw more MARS, sac , CVR and central CA enthusiasts. I also remember since the club took a more active role, the club and it's members benifited, like the raffles for example. I looked forward to seeing the nice colonies and hard to gets that the raffle provided. A little taking money to beget money where everyone walks away happy. There was also the advantage that the club had in promoting such a venue through it's administrative resources and public relations.

Don't forget about these guys when invitations go out, they are working VERY hard to establish a forum and a new club. A lot of effort going on over there. I think they should not be left out.
