Mary's 60gallon cube

:facepalm:Did Dick from Cultured Reef hard wire your tank switches? I'm gonna have to look into that. I'm still in the process of rearranging my fish room with a pod tank and trying to get my ducks in a row for my 120 gal. I just got set a week back on its delivery, I've got outlet strips all over the place

Those switches are an American DJ powerstrip. 8 switches for 8 plugs. You can find them used on RC for $20-30. I've been meaning to get one for my biocube. Mary, where did you get yours?

Thanks guys! I got it from Dick at The Cultured Reef. I had one on my 180. It makes life a lot easier.

My light fixture arrived Friday while I was out of town. Went to install it last night and it fell into my tank!!
I almost threw up!
It was not plugged in when it went in. We took it all apart and dried it off. Dried up the built in controller and now have it sitting in a bag of rice. Cleaned it up the best that we could. Going to let it dry until Thursday when the husband gets back from his business trip. Then we will see if its salvageable. I seriously want to cry :(

Checked my parameters tonight. Everything is good across the board. I added API QuickStart last week. I don't know how much that did to help the cycle. I haven't noticed any diatoms. I have about 15 lbs. of live rock and the rest is dry. And so was the sand. So I don't know how long I should wait.....

The light came back on after letting them dry out and using electronic contact cleaner. But the moonlights are not working :(
I contacted Reef Breeders and I'm waiting to hear back to see if they can fix it for me. I think the driver went out.

I heard back from Reefbreeders. They are going to fix my light. Not bad on parts and labor too. He's going to replace the fans, drivers, and whatever LEDs that are out and bring it back to factory new condition and reinstate the warranty. I have them running now and I absolutely love the lights. Great coverage on my cube. No dark areas at all. And no disco ball effect. It looks like my 250 halides did on my 180! Here's some pics. Sorry they are sucky. I took them with my iPhone.

Oh! I forgot to mention I got my first bit of livestock today. I went to a fellow reefer and picked up a bunch of goodies. I got a couple crabs, snails, frogspawn, shrooms, zoos, and a peppermint shrimp. I also went to Treasure Coast Corals and took advantage of the BOGO sale on corals they are having right now. Got a pink hammer and some neon green trumpets. Then I got a pair of B&W percs, purple fire fish, and a teenie tiny yellow watchman goby. My mother is hooked on the flower anenomes and bought me a green and a red one. The entire family is in on it. Lol.
I fragged a couple things for my daughter to take home for the nano cube I got for her and my grandson. See I can share! :-)

Very nice build, want to see more :) , I'm working on new cube tank. btw which optics you are using?
