MaxiJet sureflow 1600gph?

I have had one sureflow and one eco 1200 mod running for 3 weeks now, the sureflow is just a bit quieter than the eco but both are quiet.

Are the high flow GSII more quiet then the sureflo? I noticed you mentioned the lower flow GSII is quetier but how about the high flow?

Other then price and the inability to swap out props, how does the sea flo compare to the rest in regaurds to noise and flow?

i have my sureflow on a mj1200 and you cant even tell its on, its so quiet, i have 1 in my 58g and its more than enough flow, you have to position it at the right angle if not you get sandstorm like crazy.

I hope the humming goes away! I received by 2 Eco Mods yesterday and at first I really wasn't impressed. The flow wasn't quite what I though it would be. I put both on 900's and thought that it should be similar to my Seio 1100, it wasn't. Also as they cycle on and off with the wave maker they sound as if they are going to come apart. If I keep running them I will probably try to get one of the Seio controllers. As they got up and running the flow seemed to increase as they ran more though.

No, Just have a lot of 1200s.

For now i think I'll just stick with the Hydor 4s.

Yeah.. But these new GS2's are nothing like his previous ones. See my pics above.

The highflow GS2 is no noisier nor quieter than the mediumflow one when I tested them. They do seem to be quieter than the Sureflow though. Not sure how the Sea Flo kit compares as I've never used nor tested one before.
 
Can someone help me? I need a pump to replace my Seio 1100.

I also need the strongest one since i would need 2 pumps and my tank is 6ft long. (1 on each side)

Here are my choices: Koralia #4 pump, Sureflow 1600, MJ Mod kit

1. which one is strongest?
2. will the recommended one be stronger than my Seio 1100?
3. is there a stronger pump that is not on my list? (GS2?)

If anyone has seen them in action, please let me know. I wanted to go with the Koralia #4 but someone told me that they dont push out that far and its more of a circle affect.
Then I was going to go with the Sureflow and someone told me that the MJ Mod is WAY more stronger than the Sureflow.

If you are patience, the sureflow is coming out with a new prop for the maxijet 1200 that will push more water than the current 1600 model. The hydor is just too big and bulky plus the magnet mount is too weak.
 
how is the new sureflow compared to the gulf stream high flow?
do you know when the new sureflow will be released?

To the Eco mod owners...Ive heard of fellow reefers that there eco mods started to have problems correcting themselves on startup when connected to a wavemaker....Is this a growing problem?
 
i've figured out what happens...the robber endcap melts. the stopper relies on the rubber in order to function so with the rubber disintigrating a little bit the stopper actually spins itself. thats why i'm trying to contact the makers to find out if I could get it replaced. again...does ecotech make the eco mod?
