Maxspect LED owners!!!

My wife and I have decided to break down our 75 and go for a more high tech nano. I'm still in the planning stages, but have just contacted a couple of builders about making a 32" x 16" x 16" tank. I'm very interested in the G1 60w, but I'm concerned about the coverage. My current 75g is T5 lit and I do prefer the even coverage look over the more spotlighted look of say a single HQI. For anyone with experience with these lights give me your opinions. If I go with them, they will probably be suspended over the tank about 10" over the water. TIA for any help.

Well mine arrived and i just threw them up on the tank!
So far i am impressed with this fixture looks to be well made well see if that is still true in 6 months.

But overall i am happy with the light

G2-170W is what i picked up

hey guys

just a qeustion, I have a 1.2m X 50cm X 50cm tank can you please give me advice on which size unit i must get for my system.

Hi guys,
I am ready to pull the trigger on 2-G160's for my 120 gal 48" x 24" x 24" deep tank. If any of you G160 owners have some time to post some more pictures of full tank shots, I would like to see them with lights set at 100% for 3W white, 3W blue and 30w spots. Primarily if I could see tanks with sps and lps in them, I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Anyone knows if the G2-60 can have different LED color set ups?

On fins reef I only see a 10 white, 3 blue and 2 violet led fixture, I would like to add more blue and less white to the fixture, is it possible?

If you take a look back at some of the earlier posts you will see that there is about 12 different colors you can modify the fixture with. They are not available yet but should be coming out in the next few weeks. One of the great features with these are that you can easily replace each LED just simply undo a screw and a connector and reverse with the new one.

maybe you guys can help me, i want to light my 4'x4' square with these leds. My current setup consists of 20k 250w mh lamps. I keep sps on all levels of the tank. i want the same look and performance, minus the electric cost, what should i get exactly?

How deep is your tank?

Does anyone know the voltages or amperages that the individual LED's are being driven at? I would love to buy a pair of G2-160's for my 90 gallon, but my budget is screaming DIY....

building 700 gal mix reef. the tank is 4 ft deep 8 ft wide 3 ft front to back. any suggestions on led configuration. seen some 100 watt led. thanks

Anyone interested in a used/like new in good condition Maxspect G2 400-160 fixture? been up for 4 months used but now wrapped in the box ready to be ship. The reason is i just don't understand why i keep burning up most of my corals up. i like the design and how quite it is but i think it's to intense for my LPS corals. Give me a PM and we can work something out.

Comes with everything that was included in the original box. thanks for your help!

Whites on my new g2 110 not working???

Whites on my new g2 110 not working???

I just received my maxspect g2 110. The white LEDs appear not to be working. If I try to turn the white LEDs on only the fan turns on and no lights. If I trun the blue LEDs on then the blues light up and you can see a slight "glow" coming from all the whites (same intensity for all of the whites), but the slight glow is compeltely overpowered by the blue.

Has anyone experienced a problem like this? If yes, is there a simple solution? I can take it apart to take a look, but I don't have any electrical experience. I also don't want to void the warranty. Alternatively I can send it back and wait more than two weeks to get another one...

Thanks!

Where did you order from ?
Give them a call and see what they say? They might be able to walk you through a fix on the phone.

I have a 65g reef tank, with a mixture of sps and lps. Can anyone recommend what size maxspect led light for my tank.

Thanks

I have a question,

I bought the light fixture before there was us distribution. If I have an issue now, do I deal with the us distributor or china?

That's a good question i would think you would have to go to the original source of your purchase.

Ask the stateside distributor first. My initial contact with them is they appear ready to help out where ever/whenever they can with this product line.
Cheers,
Ray
