Maxspect Razor

Mike,
Pleeeeeease post some more pics buddy asap......lol! This is the first LED fixture I am fired up about getting. Dying to see more pics!

Thanks!

For a 72Lx24Dx22H 165 gallon tank with 2 support braces creating 3 24"x24" areas...what would be the right lights to get? I would think 3 of the 120 watt lights set between the supports.

How many watts would these 3 lights be if comparing to T5's? I would like to compare these to some of the T5 light fixtures that are available.

From what I've read 3 120W fixtures (1 per tank section) between the edges and braces would be correct. As for a comparison to T5.....don't know. I have a 120W on the way that I will be putting on 1 side of my 75. I want to compare it to the Radium 250 MH's that are already on the tank and a Kessil 350w that I have on my frag tank. My tank is a standard 75 so 1 side is 24" x 18" but it sounds like it should easily cover an area of 24" x 24". Now if only they were available. Hopefully sometime this week vendors will start receiving them. Looks like a sweet fixture.

here is an update of our 500 show tank start end of 2010 with first gen maxpsext G2 LED

sorry im a realy poor photographer

I will tell you yes the colour in person are really popping but for sure this picture have been touched with iPhoto to try to have it as much close I could cause the original was so ugly and washed it is very hard for a Joe like me to take a full picture of an aquarium this size light with LED. If I have time I will give some close up of some coral so you could see better or if you ever come by Montreal come and see it :)

Who owns Maxspect and in what country is it made?

Just curious!

Maxspects headquarters is in China. They are partnered with CoralVue in the US. CoralVue handles the distrubition, provides support, and handles any warranty issues. Aside from Maxspect, CoralVue does the same for Reef Octopus skimmers. In other words, if considering a Maxspect fixture, you should feel at ease.

Mike,
I have never had reef lighting that ramped up and then back down. How do you like it? It should give you maximum viewing time with energy cost savings to boot!
Just trying to cover all the bases.

Thanks!

yea waighting for my 20 inch fixture in the mail should be here friday i think it will be more then enough for a 60 cube did anyone to a par reading on a 24 inch deep tank ?

Okay okay it's just a Digi. But believe it or not, this one will not grow in my old tank where I had 8 -80 watt T5 bulbs. But it's starting to grow under LED. Go figure. The color too is getting better...

And another. but no growth yet on this one. But massive PE. Almost lost this one in the old tank. Can anyone tell what kind of Milli this is?
