Thank you. It's a work in progress.Awesome pics![]()
Thanks. Killa what??. Just wanted to keep things alive! :lmao:FANTABULOUS!!!!! They look very happy indeed. So what settings are you running on Mike? Are you useing a killa watt just to see how much that things actually drawing?
I have one............I just need the light now.................lol!!!
Looking great Mike. Seems the corals are loving the light!
No video or pic will actually give true justice on the rendition unless it's done professionally. You can't base your judgement by the pics you see on these forums. For those interested in the 10k version I found this video...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ikez44VcAvc&feature=plcp. Looks plenty blue and bright for my tastes.
The Razor is a very interesting fixture. I'm wondering, however, if it can be updated as the Mazzara can, Will we be able to change the led's to new ones as they become available? Or, replace led's that burn out? Is it designed to grow as tech changes the way the Ai and Radion are?
According to Chris from Coralvue (Just asked on his forum) the pods are replaceable/upgradeable. Also the controller can be changed when needed. At this price point though, I would just change the fixture after five years or so.
Well I just installed the 160w 16000k version on my 46 bow front and I am in love with it! I love that it has stands and I love how easy it is to program. Just set the time and set what preset you want. I picked the one with moon light and saved setting and done! I dont need a light that has a storm mode or plugs into my computer so I am happy with this one. The spread is perfect for a tank 36 inched wide. Way brighter then my 2 96watt pc and 150watt mh was and she shimmer and color pops way more. :inlove:
Hopefully you can post a pic, I also have a 46 bowfront would like to see how it looks.
Mike,
I was looking at the 10K spectral graph of the Razor and it looks to have plenty of red in it! Much like a metal halide. Right in there! I run a 14K metal halide bulb now. I heard the Razor 10K is quite a bit bluer then owners thought it would be.
Can anyone elaborate on this?? I may like the 10K unit better. Maybe some pics on youtube??? I will check.
Thanks
bhazard,
Thanks for the input! That makes a little more sense and was what I figured. No different then a metal halide bulb actually. Seems some people are not happy with there being no single red led's at all.
The spectral graphs I am looking at look no different then metal halide ones. A little less blue for more red and green. Just changing spectrums to replicate different depths.
I found a few of the 10K units on youtube. They look pretty darn blue as well!
bhazard,
but as you turn one channel down, aren't you losing PAR ?
