the Mag2 you would think is undersized for the project....not at alllll. mag drive pumps are known for being good with head pressure. so thats exactly why i took my friends instead of buyin a new pump. works flawlessly and everything looks good. got 2 separate ball valves on each inlet part of both reactors. im happy with it. i believe it will perform better this way then it was in series...

What does everyone think?

Still having some problems with cotton candy algae. but not nearly as bad as i was. plus just got a new thing of GFO from BRS. so the upgrade to the reactor, new GFO, new grow bulbs, im hoping on in the right attack here with this damn cotton candy algae. One would think right?

i have 3 of them in there. they dont touch it, been side by side with the algae for months now. they are not interested at all....

Looks like good progress... really like the setup.

I have to set the turbo right in the middle of the algae and then make them eat their way out of it. After a couple of times of moving them to the middle of the mess they eventually clean in... LOL!

haha no clue. i did a ton of research on that type of algae and lower nutrients and mexican turbos are really recommended without pulling the rock out of the water. so im hoping the upgrades to the reactors, new GFO and new grow bulbs along with couple water changes. i can start to see something happen within the next month or two...ive read that turbos consume it in other peoples tanks, but not mine, so i agree wrong flavor for them, they dont touch it...lol

ill attempt that. kinda makes sense. but my luck, they will just walk off of it and start grazing on everything near the cotton candy, but not touch the cotton candy lol...thanx for the trick, ill try it..
