May I introduce my 20 Long - I think it is complete!

Some more pictures I took this morning. My green fungia is one happy camper. Very bright green and his tentacles are all out and waving around. My maxima clam is also now starting to open and color up quite nicely and so I got a shot of him. Also included is an SPS shot of my fuzzy green montipora and new growth can be seen along with my candy cane coral that is a lot happier now that he is in the shade (although my family is saddended to see him get less exposure in the tank).

On the last pic, what is that green thing on the right of the clam and what is the purple thing behind the clam called?
Thanks,
Jeff

Your tank is asolutely perfect!! (beautiful inside as well as outside)

The 20L has always been and will always be my favorite tank! Now I wish I could sell everything and start over with a 20L :(

Wow! Thanks for the kind words guys! I have new corals coming tomorrow so will snap some pictures after they have moved in and are happy and fluffy :).

More corals?! NO, that's not right, it's er... INHUMANE.. SEND THEM MY WAY!

Thanks guys, I appreciate it :). It's nice to be noticed among all the other great nano-reefs over at nano-reef.com.

I've had a few other hobbies in my life but nothing has been as satisfying as this one. Truly a neat experience to have a reef aquarium in your home.

Two of the 14 new corals I put in my tank (SMALL corals of course :)). The first is a stark kelly green large polyp colony of zoos (palythoas). The picture doesn't do them justice and I don't doctor pics so that's as close as I can get right now. I'll mess with my white balance in a few days and see if I can get a closer resemblance of their RL color.

The second pic is porites with xmas tree worms. I have loved these since I saw them in Danano's tank. Truly colorful and fascinating animals. The porites themselves are nothing spectacular to see (brownish tan) but the worms and the porites have a symbiotic relationship and are neat to see in a reef aquarium IMO.

WOW
I just bought my tank, and lights. Slowly piecing it together and now that i've seen your creation it either makes me want to go faster, or throw in the towel. I don't think I can imagine putting something so perfect together. Please interupt me and encourage me at any time. You have a helluva nack for reef design. You should go into the business.
Thanx for sharing your pix with us, it's been a pleasure,
Russ

Thanks guys :). Russ that's about the best compliment I've received since I started this hobby so I'm very flattered but I see tanks here and at nano-reef.com that just blow me away so it's easy to keep my aquarium in perspective.

Dennis - The porites are an SPS coral that covers the rocks and the xmas tree worms live inside those rocks. Basically if the porites die, the xmas tree worms will perish also.

HTH!

Definitely the most inspiring tank I have almost ever seen! Well, make that the most inpsiring tank I've ever seen under 70 Gallons. Your tank is amazing, and not only deserves tank of the month at nanoreefs.com, but here as well. It is by far the best assortment of colors and corals living peacefully together in one tank that I ahve ever seen. Congratulations on such an accomplishment- your tank is truly amazing! I hope one day my bigger tank will measure up to your smaller tank!

Awesome with out a doubt, I have a 20L up about 6 mos. now and is not even close to yours....you are to be comended on your accomplishment... Guess my tank is a ghetto nano.......LOL
