MAY MEETING - Jenks Aquarium

Yeah, brilliant strategy- Raise prices so nobody spends money there.
Unfortunate.

The cookout sounds like a much better deal.

Yea....and their websight says they are a "Non-profit org".....

Non-profits don't operate with no cost though. I do see the reasoning behind an increase in cost but a substantial increase like this leads to turning away visitors.

Sucks that I may have to miss the meeting as I work that weekend.

Any word yet?

We will be arriving at the aquarium around 10:00-10:30. At this point, it looks like our group is going to be right around 20-25. Zero will be partaking in the $50 behind the scenes tour from our group - as I've recommended saving that money and applying it towards Oddballs (and that is a lot of money for frags from them!!!)

My other question is how do we tell them that we are part of a group. Is there a super secret code word? :)

Hope to see everyone there!!

In fairness to Jenks, They have always charged a premium to go behind the scenes- a set fee above the regular admission price. They have not just bumped the prices up to make ends meet- so to speak. If the price has risen for the Behind the Scenes tours, it has only gone up by about $5 or so in the last few years. I am pretty sure when I first talked to them several years ago it was $40 or 45 back then.

Im lost, is COMAS still attending the aquarium but not doing the behind the scene tours?

Also would this not be the second year for comas to do a behind the scenes tour so I'm curious as to how much it was last year?
