ok. sounds good, i think i just misunderstood part of the discussion then. back the hunt for my healthy yellow bellied actively eating misbarred 2" regal(HAH!) we can all be dreamers right?

I have no issues with NYaquatic calling this fish a Maze... It is generally understood that these fish have shared genetics from at least two "species"... all of these in the hobby, including this specimen, are coming out of Taiwan... "maze" is the common name given to any of these "hybrids" where the clean lines of the septentrionalis are broken up... this specimen is clearly mostly blueline, but it is a WYSIWYG fish so it's fine to me... when genetics are run on these it will clear many things up... I have a Taiwanese blueline that is a puppy dog! A beautiful fish that practically let's me pet him...

I think he uses the same stock photo....It would be nice to see actual photos of the fish you are getting and maybe some video of it eating.

Both Mazes at NYA are pretty clearly marked WYSIWYG. Admittedly, (1) is pretty sweet, but they really should QT (2) longer and let the damage on its mouth heal first.
