Hi all,

I'm trying to adjust the driver current on a Meanwell eln-60-48P.

Here's what I have setup
1. multimeter alligatored into LED series.
2. meanwell pot all the way counter clockwise
3. typhoon dimmable controller set to 100%.

Problem is, I'm clueless trying to use multimeter.

If I set it to 10A, lights will not come on.

I'm trying to follow instruction pdf from RapidLED "Using your dimmable driver"
Picture in instructions shows multimeter set to 10A.

Here's a few pictures

thanks for your help, I got this far and now I'm stuck!!!

You need to unplugg the Red probe on the meter and plug it into the 10A port directly to the left.

Check with your manual. Sometimes it's the oposite with different meters. It could be either the black or the red probe that you need to have in the 10A port.

I tried every combo.

My wires are connected as:

The last LED (-) is clipped to (+)(red multimeter).
The (-) to power supply is clipped to (-)(black multimeter) which is plugged into 10A on multimeter.

yes dimmer blue(+) to white (-).
wire is crossed because of way I placed LED when I glued it down. the polarity is correct.

well you get me beat, i cant tell you whats going on wish i could help more but without my hands being on it its hard to tell whats happening. maybe someone else will chime in and be able to help. if all else fells wait till monday and call rapid and talk to mike, he is very helpfull.

If I understand it correctly, there is no reading when you plug the probe to the 10A slot on the multimeter. Is there a fuse from the multimeter that might had blown?

its the blk probe that needs to be put in the 10A spot and the red where it is already.

I think that's wrong. I have a different brand meter and it is the red that needed to be switched to the 10A port. It doesn't make much sense when you have the red in the port saying mA and then the black to the 10A port. I am pretty sure is the fuse issue.

you are correct sir. damn, I been looking at this since 4am. Gotta give a rest.

I adjusted 1st one to .900.

Now I'm having a problem adjusting 2nd. Ligths keeping flasing on/off and meter
dances around from from .09 to 1.8.
I tried turning pot down, no luck.

i had the same problem with the flashing lights, it means the driver has gone into protection mode for some reason, for me it was becouse some of my led's had burned out and their wer less that eight left in the string, i never found out what caused the burnout could have been a soldering fault or to much heat when soldering, i just replaced the ones that would not light with the tester and all was fixt. try testing each led with a tester, if theirs less than eight in the string that will light that why their flashing

just tested all 12. All work using AA tester.
Perhaps the driver is messed up??

The pattern is the same count of two on/ count of two off.
Anyone know if the driver can be reset?

The black probe needs to be in the 10A port on that meter. How many leds do you have wired that you are trying to light with the meanwell. From your first picture it looks like you only have one led wired. If all the leds light up when you check them individually then check each one for a direct short to the heatsink.

My original issue was resolved from post #2. Took me a while to get the point...

I got three of the strings working and adjusted, Now my issue is with the last array of 12 mentioned in my last post. Each driver has 12 LEDs

Looking for resolution to post #17.
