Meanwell LDD driver: for those who want to dim to 0 using Arduino

I received a PM today that got me thinking- There are a lot of people out there using some of my & others LDD-H PCB designs that don't include an SCW convertor or cooling fan controls. Could there be a way to provide an SCW and fan controls without having to scrap an older design?

Here's what I came up with- It's an PcB adapter that allows an SCW convertor to plug in to a slot that was designed for an LDD-H. The adapter carries the PWM cooling fan controls and allows the user to connect a 2 wire fan to the led output terminals on the original LDD-H PCB. The original PWM pin has been re-purposed to provide an "on/off" signal or speed control. The adapter offsets the SCW slightly off center to the right, so fitment may be an issue on some PcB designs.

Here's a photo-

Let me know what you guys think? I'll probably order a batch of these just to try them out. If they work as well as I expect, I'll post the build files if there's an interest.

Man, I haven't been in this thread in a while. Awesome to see things are still evolving. I've been too busy to build fun stuff lately, but I'm hoping to start a new build in the near future.

Now you guys have me wanting to read the last 15 pages to see what I missed! I see O2 is still being ingenious.

I wish you would update the 4up board, or better yet, I need to learn Eagle lol. I love O2's stuff, it's just your 4up board was so clean I had to use it.

270 Watts of Glorious LED POWA!!!!!! (16 drivers/4 boards lol)

O2's Rocks :) Not saying other designs are not good just i like Meldrath took the plunge and orded 10 of the boards not got round to doing any soldering yet as he keeps bringing better and better boards out lol

I missed a bunch of pages so it's probably obvious, but what would you like to see added to them? I could probably update them easy enough.

BOOM!

10cmx10cm
8 channels
2 SCW convertors
4 PWM controlled fan connections
Power Supply inputs Isolated for use with separate power supplies.

It's purely an experiment at this stage, as I don't know if it'll work until I put one together LOL. The PcB's have been ordered and testing should be completed by the end of February LOL.

I thought that I had everything to solder my new boards from O2 up, but I can't find my screw terminals and had to order them. Poop.

I can't wait to get this light finalized. Just waiting on Nanobox to finish up my housing and I'm waiting on some bin-specific 465nm XP-E2 to come in. :)

Do the 4 pwm fan pins come from the scw also?? What I am getting to is instead of the two scw can I connect 12V external source maybe have a 2 pole connector attached for power input to run larger fans and still be able to use the pwm fan pins
